First United Methodist Church in Deridder Louisiana is currently searching for a Director of Youth Ministries.  Deridder Louisiana is located 50 miles northeast of Lake Charles, 165 miles east of Houston, and 165 miles west of Baton Rouge and is a growing church with 250+ in traditional and contemporary worship services.  The church has a growing congregation, good children’s ministry, and is ready for the right person who will continue the vision for youth and their families.  Deridder UMC is looking for that special person that has a love of Christ, a strong ability in youth ministry, and can communicate to youth, children, and families.  The person in charge of youth ministry needs to be at least 23 years of age, have experience in leading and growing a full time youth ministry, the capacity for team building and equipping youth and families to be a part the ministry of the church.  An understanding of United Methodist doctrine, a college degree, a commercial drivers license (CDL) and strong technology skills are preferred.  Salary is $35K+ depending on experience.
