This sounded like such a great idea that our church has decided to give it a try, not just to raise money for VBS but for all our youth programs. We would like to try it on Father's Day with the idea being something like Come join us to Praise and Raise our Fathers,    Praise our heavenly father and treat your father while raising money for our youth. Not sure how to word everything so any thoughts would be appreciated, I'm sure there won't be any problems in getting the baked items donated or finding buyers, just want to make it  a fun experience! Thanks and Blessings

I'm so glad that your church is going for it!!!  The money we raised last year took care of more things than just VBS...it was our Childrens Min. budget for the year...we had never had "money" for our CM dept...it always came out of our  pocket...and our fall festival was paid for with that money!!!  Praying for your Fundraiser...ours is on the 3rd of May...I'm getting so nervous!!!!  We have had NO problem at all getting baked goodies for the auction...such a blessing...my only suggestion is to have things move kinda quickly...we have two auctioneers that will be moving quickly...the other thing is we also have 4 sets to different games of Baseball ticketes...we had that last year and they went big also!!!!  Sooo, if you know of somebody who has season tickets to your local team....ask them if they wouldn't mind donating a couple of sets.  Good luck and I will be praying for you fundraiser!!!

Our auction was today we had over 40 items donated, we served hot dogs and baked beans to go with the Father's Day theme and around 60 people came to bid we raised close to $800 which was way more than I expected it was awesome! Our auctioneer had such a blast he is ready to have another in the fall, everyone really enjoyed themselves we had mainly family bidding against family or choir members trying to out bid one another it was hilarious! Thanks for the idea we are definetly going to do it again Thanks and Blessings

We did a Fund-Ragin' Cajun Dinner.  It was a huge success.  We had low country boil, etouffe, gumbo, fried & grilled fish & all the fixings.  Our biggest supporters were the senior adults in our church. It was great!
