| | Wow....Talk about being somewhat shocked and a little disgusted! I fell in love with LIO and just this past week worked out a way to get us using this product! Now, what? And to top it off, I lead a JumpStart workshop today and told people how awesome this product was....I wish I would have read this earlier. You may not have an answer for this, but is the focus of this shifting from a curriculum to more of a Bible study? Is that why some churches are saying 5-7 because they are only using these for special occasions instead of on a weekly basis?

| | Hey there, folks at Group - If money to produce this product is a problem - here's a few suggestions: 1. Take the curriculum design expertise you have working on HOB Blitz and focus their attention on LIO. Blitz is ALMOST the same, except for having nothing for preschoolers, and therefore requiring all students to be able to READ at some level, and that Blitz doesn't have the fun themes like LIO. LIO small group could use a little more Bible use for the older kids, anyway. 2. I know they're great, but you could save money right away be stopping the Memory Makers. If it saves the program to be basically the same otherwise, I'm willing. Or suggest something we could get locally, or from OTC, etc. What's important are the fun themes, the single key verse per unit, the 100% music video basis, the neat video clips, and the especially the "no prep" concept for small group leaders, all while teaching the Word! In short - a mini-VBS each month. And you do VBS so well! |

| | Again, thanks for your continued input. I appreciate your thoughts, and again would like to get Living Inside Out production started up again as soon as possible. This change in production schedule was not something we had even remotely thought about as a possibility when we launched Living Inside Out in late 2005. I also appreciate how you are feeling about Group right now, and again I will do anything I can to help you out. That's why we wanted to let you know as soon as possible when we put our schedule on hold, so that you would have time to plan for your fall needs. We know--and we value--those of you that started 'in the beginning' with Living Inside Out in Fall 2006 and have been using it weekly ever since in your ministries. Again, we need to find more folks like you. I understand if this is not something you're willing or comfortable doing right now, but if you continue to tell others about Living Inside Out, and we get more folks using it, we'll get production going again. And that's what we'd like to do. We have not seen anything to 'cut back' in order to continue to offer more modules while we wait for other churches to make this switch and still deliver an effective, flexible, life-changing resource like Living Inside Out for you. At the moment, we're doing all we can to get the word out about the 12 modules of Living Inside Out. Because that's the best way we can get more modules into production. Please keep sharing your thoughts and ideas. Even though we can't say 'go' on production today, we do value your input and would like to be able to send news of an updated schedule. God bless you and your ministry.

| I just wrote a big, long letter to Thom Schultz. It probably won't do any good, but I'm so frustrated. I'm up to my ears in VBS -- Group's, of course -- and now I'm going to have to find time to review Sunday School samples, meet with my selection committee, and re-staff Sunday School for the fall . . . and all by April 24!

| | I feel for you. The big problem is that there really is nothing exactly like LIO. Unless you want to spend even more money and get something from another publisher, some that require a full-blown puppet team, and some that are so video based that there's little or no small group leader interaction at all! More ways to make existing Group products more like LIO. How about making ALL the songs in Faithweaver/Kid's Own Worship sing-along videos? No more transparancies. Just that would help. |

| | Thanks for your continued ideas. We don't have all KidsOwn Worship songs on DVD, but we do have most of the volumes still available so you could do your favorites (plus add some of the favorites from Living Inside Out as well!) as they work with each week's worship theme. And starting with Fall 2007, we are adding a PowerPoint Show of the lyrics to the KidsOwn Worship CD (Songs From FaithWeaver CD), so that will make is easier to lead the words (no more lyrics transparencies). Hope this will help. Keep sharing your thoughts and ideas.

| | I keep checking the board hoping for an early "April Fool". My church has been sold on the large group/small group concept for quite some time. We've tried other curriculums and we were tired and disappointed until we found LIO. Wow! What a difference! The kids are engaged and we actually have volunteers volunteering! Nobody does it like you do it, Group. PLEASE give us something - even a slimmer LIO without the video clips is better than no LIO at all! The other curriculums you offer are no match. We've seen how good it can be and the kids really "get it". |

| | I would ask that Group spend more time and focus on LIO and away from Bible Blitz (but maybe this is too established) which we have been given as a poss substitute but it really isnt at all in the same league as LIO and is old fashioned and the song DVD unfortunately to us seems silly compared to the great songs that LIO has to offer. Its tough and I know Group is trying and I am sure Deb at Group is trying her best to do whatever she can too but ....it's sooo frustrating for us all that did the switch to LIO last Fall. Dave B. |
