Can you tell me how much ink I will need to purchase for the scribe shop?  They sell 2.5 oz bottles at Michael's.  I am planning on 100 children.

We are using liquid watercolors from Discount School Supply (discountschoolsupply.com).  We tested the liquid watercolor with a stylus and it worked very well and dried almost innstantly.  We were able to have our parchment paper donated from a print shop, so I am not sure how well the liquid watercolors would work on parchment paper from Group.  The liquid watercolors were on sale for $1 a bottle when I got them and the bottles are quite large--much more economical than calligraphy ink from the craft store.  We usually have about 200 kids at our VBS and we ordered 3 bottles of black liquid watercolor for the scribe shop and several additional colors to use in the carpentry shop to paint the tops, which also worked very well!

I think at the field test we had 2 or 3 bottles, just so a few kids could be working at one time. There was plenty. Kids absolutely LOVED writing with the bamboo styluses on the parchment

We opened 2 bottles so more than one child could be working at a time but we really used less than one bottle.  The ink goes a long way!!  We had 60 kids this week.
