| If your church is using Outflow, what events are you planning for the last Sunday? We are considering the possibility of setting up a tent across the street from several low rent hotels in our area, where many people live and many truckers stay. Then we will fix and serve breakfast to all who come. We'll have to connect with the front desks at the hotels, but that shouldn't be a problem. What other ideas do you have?

| I love that idea, Peggy! Let us know how it goes...that sounds like an awesome way to serve and reach out. Blessings on the day! Roxanne

| It's really happening! WAHOO! On Sunday, April 15th we will not be having church services. We're going to a local soup kitchen and serving and sharing breakfast for the folks there. We will have a small service there. I am so excited about this ladies! Roger had about six people stand up and answer a question about mission trips they had been on. He asked each one "Were you blessed more than the effort it took, to go?" Every one of them answered YES! (This was unrehearsed, but God was in control!) Then he announced the event. There are a handful of folks who are letting their little inner pharisee take over, but most people are really excited about the project. We'll be placing a big banner over the doors that Sunday that says "The church has left the building... we're out serving the Kingdom." I can't WAIT! (Oh, and this has also instigated a trip to Haiti next year, the first mission trip that our church has ever done! There are about 10 people from our church of 75 who are already committed to going! It's been amazing!)

| Well, we did it! And here are the pictures to prove it. http://www.gbgm-umc.org/harrodcharge/images/OurDailyBread04152007/Pictures.htm We had over 55 church members participate (we average 60-75 so that was HUGE) and we served over 175 plates of food. We had really played up the idea of sharing breakfast and breaking bread with the neighborhood folks, so people did that and listened to their stories of life on the street, in prison, etc. Lives in our church were changed by this. If you are a pastor and the thought of leaving the church on Sunday morning scares you to death, trust God and do it anyway. It was amazing. If this little rural congregation can do it, so can anyone else. (and I have a feeling that MUCH more is going to come of this!) Our empty bags were filled with the items for the breakfast, so the whole thing cost the church $35 for the cost of the banner, which was EXTRAORDINARY because the woman who runs the Graphics company had a sample that she gave to us and only charged us for her materials! We created our own door hangers to put in our own neighborhood (about 100 houses in our town) that also said "The church has left the building" and even had a silhouette of Elvis on them! We told people not to visit this week, but come next week for a full report. Since then, we've seen a significant bump in our website traffic as well! GOD BLESS YOU Steve and Dave for putting out this book and challenging churches to take this leap!
