We are doing a Flamingo Fundraiser again this year.  You can purchase a few "flocks" of flamingos from www.gotpinkflamingos.com (this was the cheapest place I found.)

We will have 4 flocks circulating the community and if you get flocked you donate $25 and then attack another yard yourself... or for $50, I (the VBS director) will move them myself.  Or two weeks ahead of time, we offer "Flamingo Insurance" for $25 for those that want to participate without getting the flock of flamingos.

Here is a youtube clip of a commercial I made with the Youth to show at church before services to get people excited...

If it doesn't work, the title on YouTube is Flamingo Invasion

Create and laminate yard signs to go with the flock.  It's a great way to advertise VBS in the community. We have laminated envelopes that contain the instructions on what to do if you get flocked, self addressed stamps and envelopes for people to send donations back to the church, and we have paypal set up on our churches website to make payment simple!

The key is to keep the flocks moving....more they move, the more you can make!  That's why it costs extra to pay for someone to move them... it would be too time consuming for me to move 4 flocks of flamingos each day!  But, if I have too... it will ring in $200 bucks which isn't too bad for a mornings work.

The flamingo fundraiser is my favorite because it gets everyone smiling and is a fun way to reach the whole church. It's kind of like t.p.ing someone...but someone else does the work
