Everyday I always give my volunteers a small token of my appreciation with a note attached (i.e. a mint with a note attached saying "You mint the world to our VBS week"  I am out of ideas this year.  Does anyone have anything clever that they could aid me in this process.

Day 1 - Fear Not Button (Group)

Day 2 - Crocodile Ink Pen (Guildcraft)

Day 3 - Crocodile Mardi Gras Beads (Guildcraft) - this one I'm a little nervous about

Day 4 - Cross Buble Necklace

Day 5 - not sure yet

I do not have my notes written yet but they will be along the lines of a thank you and something that goes with the Bible Point of the day.

I posted this in another thread but here is my VBS Survival Kit that I use. You could separate these and do a different one each night. I plan on putting them in my turtle basket each night for the volunteers and hand out during our pow-wow and prayer before each night begins.

VBS SURVIVAL KIT

A golden thread - to remind you that friendship is the golden thread that ties together the hearts of everyone on your VBS team
Hugs & Kisses - when you need a hug
Toothpick - to help pick out the good qualities in others and yourself
Lifesaver candy- for the times others need your help and you theirs
Marbles- to replace the ones you've lost during VBS
Mounds bar- for the "mounds" of love and support in your VBS team.
Tissues - to wipe the tears of joy and sadness when VBS ends
Candle- to help light your path to God
Cotton ball- for cushioned support of your VBS team for the rough roads
Bandaid-to heal the pain and suffering during VBS
Pack of gum- so that your VBS team can "stick together".
Crayon-to color your day bright and cheerful
Sponge-for when your love overflows
Penny-so you'll never be broke
Rubberband-to remind you to be flexible
Puzzle piece- VBS wouldn't be complete without you
jewel-because you are as valuable as any precious stone!
Pad and Pen to list the reasons you are going to be on the VBS team again next year
Nail to help you remember how much you are worth to God

Hope these help.

I like everyone's ideas, but with our budget, I'm looking for something simple.  I see that alot of people have used the VistaPrint postcards.  I was planning on ordering the postcards too, but I'm having trouble coming up with a catchy phrase for the front which is theme related to Crocodile Dock.  Any ideas would be appreciated!

Thanks Sarah! I have used different variations of these gifts every year since I have been handling VBS. The workers really love and appreciate it. We are also going to have some of the children write thank you letters to the workers and present that to them along with a framed picture from the spotlight drama. I know if it was me receiving it that the letter and picture would mean more than a gift from a store. Just a thought!

Here's what I've got so far:

Monday - Pop Rocks (3 for $1 at Dollar Tree) "You help make our VBS ROCK!
Tuesday - Gatorade (12 for $5 at Walmart) "Thanks for your ADE this week!
Wednesday - Gummy Worms in a baggy that says "Bait" - "God says Fish or Cut Bait. - Glad you made the right choice"
Thursday - Gator Snaps from Oriental Trading - Your help makes our VBS a "SNAP!"
Friday - Turtle capsules with M&M's - "We don't want to be SLOW in thanking you for helping this week!"
(I purchased the turtle capsules from Group Outlet and used the bonus craft to make the turtles.)

Hope these help!

At our dollar tree they have gum for $1 a pack. It is energy gum called CROC ATTACK and has a red croc on it.  I am using it for my volunteers.

We have our vbs in the morning so we can include our church's daycare. I provide breakfast for all my volunteers away to say thank you and to save them time in the morning. I also make it our prayer time before we start. Some come, some don't but it is there if they can make it.

I liked the survivor kit idea-I might have to do that next year.
