| We have less than 20 people in our youth group, and we are looking for something fun, but also impactful for our Wednesday night program this summer. We typically do music and a lesson and sometimes a game or two, but we want to spice things up a bit for the summer. However, we don't want to just goof around all summer. We want to make sure that our youth continue to experience Christ each week. Is there any good summer curriculum out there for youth???

I like to do message series that would cover weeks of lessons based on a large topic. One idea is taking a book and studying it chapter by chapter on a weekly basis depending on which topic you like your youth group to remember for the summer.
This summer, we are going over the book "REFUEL" by Doug Fields on how to go beyond the stereotypical "quiet time" and experience quiet time on a different level by keeping it simple. It has 6 chapters, so we're doing it in 6 weeks going over each chapter each week. I basically just outline the points from the book and teach it to them on our youth night. We go over questions that they answer on their own, with a group, or with a partner. They also have small group questions related to the book on saddleback.com/refuel that you can use.
You can do this idea with just about any book. God bless!
