| I got bad news this afternoon. I was telling my DRE about the web toy box and she informed me that our priest was not happy about the site that I had Josh do for us last year because it drew attention away from the church's site. She asked me not to sign up to use this tool because of how our priest reacted last year. I tried to explain to her about how beneficial it would be for all of us involved, especially since we have a new secretary that is less than familiar with our program and computer system. Nothing I said seemed to work! Anyway, I am very disappointed about this but I guess life will go on. Hopefully things will work themselves out. Okay, I am done hanging my head on this one and it is time for me to move on!

| Drew attention away from the church site?! Is this a competition now?
Sounds odd to me.

| | It's a shame if you can't use a tool that would make your job easier. Would they let you post the link on your church website, then only list the church site on your marketing materials? It'd still get the job done but get everyone to see what else is on the church site while they're going to the VBS registration. Just a thought. Liz |

| What if you presented to you church that you would link it to your church website. That on you church site could be a link to send them to the Tool box site for registration . That would take care of you problem because the people would see your churches site and look at other info if they are searching for a home church. Hope this helps

I actually think it could get more people looking at your church website if they need to go there to get to the VBS link, instead of being a competition for it. I plan on only putting our church's website on all publicity & then linking to the AR page from there.

| Even if you can't use the Web site feature, could you still use the registration database (you'd enter them manually), crew management, supply calculator, and other features? These will still make your job easier.

| Somebody here had it set up so you never even appeared to leave their church's website. That should be EASY to do (for a web person). Don't give up hope yet! I'd go to the pastor and show him how you can link from the church's site directly to the Toybox one. I'll be setting mine up very soon (next week) so you can show him ours, if you'd like!

| | I haven't had time to really look at the toybox yet. Does it notify the church that I set it up or something? Can't it be set up but no one has to even know it's there and Kate can enter things in manually to as she gets the registrations so she can still use the other tools????? I was thinking of playing with it and not telling the Pastor and Faith Formation director unless I really loved it and found it really easy to use. AND I would be linking to this VBS stuff via the church site anyway. Is there a way to just play with some sample stuff without really signing up???
