Wow! That's pretty cool! I saw that they had box rivets on there. I think we could use large brads instead. Thanks for the post, I will have to remember this is here.

Wow!  Check out the photo gallery.  Lots of ideas for different ships and a pirate themed VBS stage set.  Loved the pirate ship that used blue balloons for water.

This is wonderful! At first I was thinking of re-using the styrofoam which we are currently using for Crocodile Dock. But this site is really helpful. Thank you so much.

GREAT SHIP !! Fortunately, our (small town) local appliance store will save boxes for us if we ask. We tried some of the larger dealers, but they don't remove the boxes in one piece.

The VBS program that uses vegetable people (I didn't know if I can use their name) used a pirate theme a couple of years ago. Their ship was pretty cool, too....but not as great as this one! We borrowed it for the Bible Story last year (or the year before) where they walked on water.

Blessings,
Connie

I recommend the box rivets over brads. They are made to hold large pieces of cardboard and won't pop out when moved. You can re use these, so you get your $ worth over and over.

Yes, we use ours over and over. It makes creating a lot easier and sturdy!
