| 20 years ago when we lived in Florida, my first experiences with VBS had a male director. Didn't think anything of it because he had an obvious connection to kids and VBS was at night so he was available. With all the years I've directed, I've had males involved most years in some capacity. It is wonderful to have males in children's ministry--they are wonderful in childcare, midweek and as Sunday School teachers. God indeed gifts all of us and expects us to use those gifts where we can serve Him--even males serving with children!!

| Kudos for you for taking on this responsibility. You look as if you are really enjoying yourself. Great that you are part of the VBS environment...wish there were more like you willing to take on the challenge. All worth it in the end (which is always such a sad time to experience).

We have never had a male director but our men are very involved in VBS. I have several men who are crew leaders. My son is 20 and he loves helping with VBS. He has been doing puppets since he was 16. He asked me 3 years if he could be a crew leader and he loves it. The children love him. He wears a theme related hat every year. The other men love helping out too. They are constantly asking me if I need anything. I think it is great that men are involved. VBS is for everyone!!!

Hi, I happened across your email and we are doing Crocodile Dock in Waterville, MN the week of August 9. I know where your church is as I grew up in New Prague. Do you have anything you want to sell, share or get rid of? I did not order the bible point posters which I could use. We dont' go too crazy with decorating and just try to use what we all have at home. Let me know!
