Hi guys,

Just wondering if you keep your God sight lights "on" after each day or you turn them off to save on battery usage then turn them on again for the next day.  We will end up though turning on and off more lights as the days progress if that is the case.  How long do they last?

Nice

The CR2032 battery has an estimated 60-hour battery life.  (Or so my sisters in the CIA tell me)

I never considered leaving them on. I don't think they will last.

I've been turning them off after Swamp Stomp.  My 2 girls turn them on when we get to church in the mornings.  But we only have 20 crews.

We have 32 crews and turn them on and off each day. We just finished day 4 and they are still going strong.

I was wondering when exactly do you do the light thing??? I've read over just about everything, but I guess I'm missing the details. where can I find the info on these? the pics look really cool. I thought it was during the firefly finale. but then I only saw where the lights are, not how you get them on stage or exactly what the purpose is...I'm  just a little confused on how the lights fit in...

please can someone help me understand!!!

thanks - Laura

Laura, I am glad you asked because I am a little confused too. Of course it could be because all my stuff is handed out to the leaders. We start on July 12th. Iam as nervous as a long tailed cat in a room full of rockers. I just pray that the kids have a blast and learn God is always there for them.

Laura,

Kids learn to look for God in action. I think it is explained in Dockside drive in when they give all the kids a bracelet to wear. Then each day in Sing and Play there is time for kids to tell their crew leaders about seeing God in action. Each crew has a candle which they bring up to put somewhere on the set. This happens each day. On the fifth day during Firefly Finale each child gets to take a candle home to put in their lantern(crafts).

I had two sightings and we don't start till Monday. Two churches gave our church backdrops, shack and boat plus moss and so much more. Praise God and bless these ministries.

Hope this helps

Kathy

We finished our VBS last night and turning them off after swamp stomp and back on and off after and before firefly finale, they were still going strong enough for the kids to take home one each at the end for their lanterns.

We bought our lights from the dollar store, the only disapointment being not all of them would turn off, so we had to remove the battery which was a bit of a pain, but all in all I loved the effect on the last day when we had the lights off in church and just had the Gods sighting lights on.

Good Luck and Gods Blessings in your VBS

Lisa
