I am just wondering if sending home their crafts will be better or keeping them until the last day.  We've been keeping them since I thought they will easily get lost but then again parents will see what the kids did everyday and kids will enjoy it if we send it home. Any views on this?

I'm gonna let them take them home every day exept for thursday. We are making lanterns, so being that I need the lights for Friday, they will have to come back on friday to get them.

This is what we did last year and I thought it worked well.

At crafts, we have the crew leaders write the name of each kid on a brown lunch bag. One of the craft helpers takes the bags to another room and lays them out on a table. When the kids finish their craft, they find their bag and put their craft on it or in it. A craft helper puts the craft and a take home sheet in the bag and then puts each crew's bags in a plastic bin and takes the bin to the sanctuary. Each of our crews sits in a different pew so we put the bin on the pew and it is there so the crew leader can give the kids their craft as they leave.

Our crew leaders keep the buddy keepers all week for the kids to have each day so on the first day we just pass out the take home sheets. This year some of our crafts will need drying time so a craft might not go home everyday.

Day one we leave there since they have to add their buddy daily but every other day they will be bringing their craft home then if they aren't coming to the concert they can get them on friday but otherwise after the concert Sunday night they come down and get them.

I think they should take them home every day for 3 reasons.
1. They dont want to wait to show mom and dad what they made
2. It piles up!
3. ALOT of kids are going to want to wear the fear not braclets home!

On the first day we have brown, grocery size bags for each "crew" (the kids and crew leaders love to decorate their bags!), and we collect the crafts each rotation except the last one.

We bring each crew their bags at the end of the day rally in the sancuary, and let the crew leaders give each kid their craft to take home, the exceptions were the Buddy Keeper and the bracelet....the Buddy Keeper is kept on their nametags so they can add the Buddies each day, and we let them wear the bracelet if they wanted to.

The advantages to sending home the crafts each day is a. they don't pile up, and b.the kids are excited to show what they've made and can remember what the craft had to do with the Bible Point.

It is a problem for preschoolers that they can not take items home.... it was our first night last night and most of them wanted to take them home.....

Good idea to have things for them to take home.....

Blessings to you all!
