Ok..this may seem like a strange one...
when a kiddo comes to put on a toga in your toga shop..do they wear it for the rest of the day...or what...
or do they try a couple ones on...and then move on to the next shop, leaving the toga at the toga shop?

| We are having the kids just try them on at the Toga shop and then leave them there. We're toying with the idea of having them pose for a picture and then slap the memory stick into a standalone printer behind the shop and print the picture. We have also toyed with building a chariot for them to pose next to in their toga for the picture... We did the pictures last year, printing them right at the craft station and turned them into refrigerator magnets and they were a big hit, but that wasn't a Holy Land Adventure.

We have limited space and adults, so we are rotating which shops we have during the week. Our Toga Shop will be on Monday. I found cheap (and I mean CHEAP) pillowcases online. (I saw someone else post that they got pillowcases from a hotel which is a great idea!) I ordered white, but they came colored, which is even better. We have made tunics for each child from those. Each child will get their own tunic on Monday which they will then wear with their sash for the rest of the week. After they pick out their tunic, they will have the chance to dress up in a toga (which will be left in the shop for the next group). I also found some lei headbands at Oriental Trading which we will use in the Toga Shop (these will be left IN the shop as well).
Once the children have put on their tunic, toga and headband, we will snap their picture. Our Youth Director will print out the pictures during the rest of the week. On Monday after VBS we will mail the picture in the photo frame (available through Group) with information about our service times.
Hope this helps!

| We are going to have them try on a toga and pose for a picture. We're going to have them hold a fun sign with their Family Name on it -- as a good memory of VBS AND a good way for us to easily slip it into the correct Family basket the following night! :o) We got white sheets donated from two hotels. One was a family in our church who owns hotels! :o)
