Seeking part-time youth minister for 600+ member church in family-oriented community. Minister would direct middle and senior high youth groups and help teach confirmation class.
Responsibilities would include coordinating volunteers, providing religious programming, serving as a role model and confidante and supporting youth mission work. The minister would work with youth leaders and the lead pastor to deepen the faith of youth in the church and reach out to youth in the community.
Theological education and prior youth ministry experience preferred. Will consider both lay and ordained candidates.
Must be able to communicate electronically, attend Sunday worship, and teach beliefs consistent with United Methodist Church.
Estimated 20 hours per week. Ideal start date is August 17, 2009
