i'm considering Grapple Jr High for our church's 6th/7th grade Sunday School class. In looking over the Scope & Sequence, I think I would prefer to skip the Spring 2010, 7th quarter theme about sex. (I just don't think our teachers -- or myself -- would be comfortable with this topic for this age group.)  If we opted to skip that theme, would the children still have access to info on this topic on the website? Any thoughts?  thanks!

Hi,

Thank you for your post! Before answering the functionality question, I  wanted to make sure to note:

Spring 1010, Quarter 7 isn’t all about sex. Only three lessons out of 12 are about sex. There are four lessons on the death and resurrection of Jesus, two lessons on integrity, two on stewardship, and one on divorce.

- The lessons on sex focus on the principles of healthy relationships with members of the opposite sex…which was top on the list of 6th to 8th grade students we interviewed when developing these lessons.

However, to the functionality question - Yes you can control what is displayed on the student's site. Grapple has functionality that allows you to manually post lessons. So, you would not post this lesson if you so desired.

Let me know if you have any other questions and thank you for your question!

Blessings,

Erin Kelenc
