We have always put Preschool and Elem together in Chadder because of lack of volunteers/space.  The little ones have always had a problem with being frightened.  This year the separate Chadder DVD worked great- we had the same volunteer and space but kept the Preschool crews together in their own groups.

Does any one know if it is an option?

And are the Bible stories NT or OT?

Sharon

Like Shawn, I read somewhere there is only one Chadder DVD this year. Maybe Chadder's adventure is toned down a bit this year....

The Bible Stories are NT -- you can see what they are on the "Bible Points" page of the website:

I heard that the starter kit had only one Chadder DVD.  But it had only one this year, with the option of the preschool one purchased additionally.

Can anyone at Group lend insight?....................

There will be a preschool Chadder DVD for High Seas Expedition, but it will not be included in the Starter Kit.

Could we ever go back to just one DVD?

God Bless,

My wife is our preschool leader and she thought that the preschool dvd for crock dock was below the kids. She did not understand the need to a preschool dvd. We did show the preschool this year but problily will not for HS.

I LOVED the preschool chadder video this year.  We had too many kids have bad dreams last year using the elementary chadder.

I was the leader of preschool chadder (and VBS director...needed my personal fix with the kids) and the kids had a blast at my station.  They loved the video and always danced to the songs.  I think it reinforced the music a bit and they were able to have extra time learning the songs and motions.

We have used Group for 3 years and the preschool kids have not had a problem with the Chadder video until this year.  They did not like the preschool version and on Monday night after watching their version they said "that is not the right Chadder video".  Fortunately, I had an extra copy of the regular Chadder video and they watched that on Monday night and the rest of the week.  I only purchased the preschool version because it was referenced in the lesson.  I will not be purchasing the preschool version again.  All of our kids love the adventurous Chadder!

From being the Chadder's Theater Station Leader for Crocodile Dock, here's my feedback from my Crocodile Dock experiences with the preschoolers: I don't think the Chadder puppet really worked for us. My sister was the voice of Chadder and we couldn't really hear her most of the day's skits. Also, one of the preschoolers said that Chadder was a puppet when her and I were performing the skit on Day 1. The preschoolers enjoyed Chadder introducing the Bible Point and talking about the different Bible Buddy animals that live in the bayou. When it was time to sing the song, the preschoolers were a bit lost and didn't know what to do. Since I was the Sing & Play Swamp Stomp Station Leader too, I would go up by the video and do the motions. The preschoolers responded better to this and more of the preschoolers got up and did the motions as they watched me do them.

God Bless,

Josh
