actually, not necessarily... once the bears all get sent to International Bible Society, the volunteers there will go through all the bears and put them in a box to be sent to different places in Africa. There is no guarantee that the books and bears will stay together or that the bundle will be sent together either... Last time I spoke to IBS Outreach Director, he was still working out the logistics as to exactly how the bears will be distributed and exactly where they will go. In Bolivia, we mostly worked with Compassion International Projects... I'm not 100% sure if it'll be the same in Africa... When I went to Dominican Republic, the items were distributed through local churches... So it's not always the same.
You could try bundling them together, but like I said, once they arrive at IBS, they'll go through each box and re-package them for safe, easier shipping to Africa...
I don't know if I helped much... you could try bundling them together and take your chances... What we're doing is... we've asked each child to bring a picture to put in the book... we've decided not to include pictures on the bear since the pocket is pretty small... but even to just write little note and stuffing it in the bear's pocket would be GREAT!
Well, I hope Operation Kid-to-Kid goes well at your church... This project is very close to my heart!!! Happy VBS!!! and would LOVE to hear how your VBS went and how kids responded to doing OK2K!!!

Thank you so much!! You really helped me alot!
I think what I am going to do is stick with my original plan, I will put letters and pictures in each bear. This is really neat idea for the kids and it will be fun for them to do also. Thanks so much. I will let you know how it turns out.
