| Our VBS is planned to start next week. We have a very limited budget for VBS and we are simply unable to afford all of the tea lights required. We came up with an alternate idea. We are planning to acquire two large stove boxes from a local home supply store. The plan is to hook the two boxes together to make a huge lantern. After hooking the boxes together we are going to cut out large areas in the boxes to make the glass windows you'd find in a lantern. Then we'll spray paint the inside and outside black. Once that's completed we'll cover the holes from the inside with clear paper such as saran wrap or clear cellophane. Then we're planning on leaving an opening at the top to slip in yellow balloons. The balloons will be the "God sightings". The kids will place them in the box all week trying to fill the lantern. We'll place a few strands of twinkle lights in the box as it's getting filled. Then on Friday at the final ceremony we'll turn down the lights and plug it in.

Wouldn't it be neat to get one of the party time helium tanks..and fill them up the last day....and at the end of your last night..everyone go out and release the God sightings into the neighborhood??? Then maybe some people would find them and read them!!

I found the t lights for a $1 per 6 at the Dollar Tree Store if there is one in your town.
