Please pray for me as we approach our VBS in less than 2 weeks.  I'm the director, and we'll have about 100 kids. I still have a million things to do and am not sure that all of my station leaders are on top of everything as they should be.

I'm really battling depression right now.  I had a miscarriage in late December, and my baby would have been born this week.  Some days it's just been hard to even get out of bed.  I thought I had dealt with all of this months ago, but as the days on the calendar have gotten closer to my due date, I've had to re-deal.

I have three beautiful, healthy children, and we're due for a fourth in January.  Please pray for a healthy pregnancy and for this child.  So far, everything is going well and developing normally.

Thank you, my VBS friends.  I've never met even one of you, but you give me inspiration and hope on a regular basis, and not just about VBS.

Kelsey,

My prayers are with you. You will always wonder what if (I know as I have been where you are) but God had other plans for me and you, and now God has blessed you with a new life growing inside. May this baby be a blessing to you and your family. Take time this week away from the hustle of VBS to find a quiet place where you can pray. May God bring you peace.

God be with you,

Kathy

Kelsy, thanks for sharing your prayer request. We're honored to pray specifically for you. Try and enjoy your CrocDock experience to the fullest, knowing you're changing the spiritual lives of many people, maybe 100 kids, but also many teens and adults as they'll share in this camp journey with you. May you have the peace and comfort you need.

Blessings,

Hello Kelsy,

I am so sorry for all the stress and heartache you are going through...seems like everything happens at the same time...but God sees the bigger picture and knows why and how and all the questions we have He has the answers for....but too...He is right with you...just give it to Him and lean on Him. I know how it hard it is as I have been there..and cannot have anymore children. I was in the same situation last VBS....and it might not help you..but I actually had a little cupcake and celebration of the life lost. It takes awhile for the pain to ease and of course you will neve forget..but remember the special gift God has given you and is growing inside of you...don't let the devil steal your joy....and keep a close eye on those God sightings throughout your VBS!!! I bet He has something special planned for you all! PLease keep us posted on how you are doing and how your VBS goes!!!

Day 1 was yesterday.  We had a few snags, but overall, it was pretty great.  We had 105 kids and 92 teens/adults.  Gotta love that ratio!

I'm excited to see what God will be doing the rest of this week.

Please pray that God will work in a couple specific situations involving hurting people that had signed up to help with vbs.  Our prayer is that they will find healing, not more hurt as they work through some issues this week.  Thanks!

Hi Kelsy,

Praying for you from Florida, we too are having our VBS this week. We don't have quite as many in attendence as you do. But we are having a great time and God is really blessing us.

We never know what God's plans are and why things happen, we just have to have faith that what does happen is for our best interest and I know that doesn't take away the pain and heartache, but rest assured that God is still there and he will carry you through it.

We made it through the week!  Set attendance records (154 kids, 122 volunteers!) and had a great time.  My deco guy already has next year's set design figured out, and my Chadder's people are gathering ideas!  Now we just need to get through Sunday's program at church!

Oh, and I started telling people I'm pregnant.  I felt like a slug just standing around when they were moving heavy stuff, but the baby gave me a good excuse!  The kitchen people also gave me a little extra for the little one!

Thanks for the prayers!  See you on the High Seas!
