| So I'm trying to think of a craft for my Splash Bash to do with the 10 Commandments. I would love to make a keychain with beads that the kids could just string and tie off with each bead reminding them of one of the commandments. Anyone else have any ideas? They don't just have to be colors... shapes or anything would work as well! 1 - No other gods - #1 bead or clear? 2 - No idols - gold bead 3 - God's name - black? 4 - Sabbath - 5 - Parents - 6 - Murder - red? 7 - Marriage - white? 8 - Steal - 9 - Lie - 10 - Covet -

Thanks guys! I'm on vacation in the Smokeys this week (spend the day havin' fun at Pigeon Forge today!) but I'm still thinking about it. I did a test one before I left home and I had the same idea of the one pink and one blue! LOL. I'm on the lookout for #1 beads. I found some online but the shipping will probably make it prohibitive.

Have you ever checked out makingfriends.com? They have number beads that you can buy a bag of 30 of just one number (instead of buying an assortment of all 10 digits). They also have the alphabet that you could buy each letter separate -- you could use a "G" for #3, or a "P" (or "R" or "H") for #5.
Also, they have a 'heart bead' that could be used for marriage.
I was hoping to find some 'lips' or 'mouth' beads for you, for #9, but I didn't find them on this site, and google didn't help me find any either.
I've seen hand shaped beads before -- could be good for #8.
Can you tell I'm trying to find non-color options for you?  I did a similar thing once with learning the creation story -- I had my class put together a zipper-pull of beads that would remind them of the order of the creation story, so they could retell it to their parents and friends. It's been awhile, and I would have to dig through all my craft stuff to see if I still had it, but it was fun to find shaped beads that would fit.

| I decided to just write the #1 on white beads since I only needed 30. Found heart beads and gold (shiny) beads at Hobby Lobby the other day! So I'm set. AND WE HAVE 33 KIDS REGISTERED AS OF TONIGHT!!! I know of a few more that I suspect will sign up late or show up. I cannot believe it!
