Did anyone else get a weird private message?  I didn't read it all because it was so strange and I was afraid it might have a virus or something.  Just wondered if it was me or everyone.

Thanks,
Melissa - NY

I got one and deleted it. Let's keep each other posted on those, so nobody is surprised. It was about a person who was from an embassy and wanted to become acquainted. Don't fall for it!

I got one in response to my free decorations.  The woman was supposedly from Bahrain.  There was very bad broken English and horrible punctuation.  (Although that doesn't always prove anything).  She just asked me to reply to her e-mail.  Of course, I didn't.

The lady from Baharin Emailed Me! I PMED Pegggy about it! Her name is Mary Wast. She tried to tell me her whole history. There were lots of words I couldn't understand, but I got somthing about her "husband died in 2007 and she wants to bless me!" Yea Rite!

Hope this is not bad!

This one just sounded like the spam alert we had had before.   That the person try to ask for money once someone contact her.

God bless

Yes, these are known as the Nigerian Bank scam and have been around forever.  The content might change from time to time but the scam is the same.  Please read this for more information:

Other than deleting the account there really isn't anything that Group can do.  If someone wants to scam this way they will just create another account.  The only way you can be sure not to get any emails like this is to turn off the email portion of the board.  But then no one will be able to email you.
