It has been a week today that one of our council men past away-very unaexpected.  TO top it off our Pastor had just left for a week long vacation with his wife to celebrate there 40th wedding anniversary!!  The family decided instead of asking the Pastor to come home for the funeral-they would wait till he returns.....today--The day before our VBS begins.  Things are going to be a bit hectic--We tried decorating for VBS but we could only do so much--Then we have the whole thing of we (everyone of our who do this) will be attending the funeral, then they have decide to do a meal--Veiwing starts at 1 today the cematary itself is a 45 minute drive away-driving the speedlimit.  Don't get me wrong--I'm very sad this gentleman was an awesome man--In fact every year he helped during VBS by making us something prememant that could be used over and over if it fits the theme.  It was even planning on do a few things for this year.  But I just don't see how everything will come together.....His daughter and granddaughter are both a very valuable part of our VBS..and I'm not sure how much they will be up to doing??I myself am very exhusted besides being VBS director me and my husband are in charge of clean up, opening and everything thing else along that line-which I was informed yesterday includes cleaning up after a meal for up to 300 people after we just cleaned the church last night for the funeral and have all this decorating to do.    Ok I know some of this sounds like complaining--But I'm really stressing--Not sure what more to do then to pray--Our VBS starts SUnday evening at 7--Please keep us in your prayers today and tomorrow!

Blessings,

Jenn in PA

I'll be praying for you. Just know that God is with you (Fear Not!) and that God is powerful (Fear Not!) enough to help you in your situation. He also cares for you (Fear Not!) and cares about your VBS.

God Bless,

Josh

Praying that you had lots of help setting up your VBS set in a short amount of time. The kids won't know what it was to look like and then come down the next day and decorate more. Praying for your Program. Have a fantastic week.

Thanks for the prayers.  Everything went GREAT!!!  What a wonderful evening we had We were at church all day (Day 4 in row) And everything was set-We even had time for a quick (drive thru) run to Dairy queen-Kids had a great time. Yesterday after the funeral people stayed me and my husband had to nothing in the fellowshiphall to clean up--People who I never would have thought stayed and did it for us.  Plus one lay who is not the most likly to help came over and said put me to work what can I do??  What a blessing, And the family who's father/grandfather who past away were there and ready to have a fun time ministring to the children!!

Thanks again for your prayers!!

Blessings,

Jenn in PA
