We have Fellowship of Christian Athletes at my school. An FCA meeting consists of doughnuts and juice when the teens come in. The teens who come early talk and the advisor talks with us. Then we watch a DVD clip. We've used the Nooma videos and some Answers from Genesis videos. Then we briefly talk about what we watched, pray, and then leave for our cl. It's starts at 6:50am and goes until 7:20am.

I'd really like to make FCA more "groupie" in terms of curriculum and the relationships with other members in the group. Does anyone have any Group curriculum that would accommodate the time we have? I love Group's curriculum because it will stick with the teens. (That one thing we need to work on. We forgot about the video and what it has taught us.) It will also create better relationships with the other members.

If anyone has any tips and/or insight on FCA stuff, please feel free to post it.

God Bless,

Josh

Can you please clarify, what do you mean make the curriculum more "groupie"?

Are you making a pun on Group? Or do you mean, a curriculum more centered around groups?

It's a word we use in the VBS section of the forum. I'm asking if anyone knows of a Group curriculum that would work well with what I'm looking for.

God Bless,

Josh

Our FCA is focusing more on outreach and reaching students rather than provide another "youth group" experience at school. I think that is an excellent direction for them to go.
