HOW2 Children's Ministry Conference is coming to Baton Rouge, LA October 16-17th. There is still time to register your team and experience the incredible training and team building HOW2 offers.

Bonus - Every church that attends gets a kit complete with all the materials needed to present the workshops in your own church.

WOW! The Baton-Rouge area HOW2 at Greenwell Springs Baptist Church was so energizing!

The Children's ministry workers who attended had so many wonderful celebrations to share about their ministries.

We were all challenged to get out into our communities and into the lives of our families by attending our children's sports events. One church even cancels their Wednesday evening program for the summer so Children's Pastors and teachers can be on the sidelines at the kids' games.

We were challenged to look beyond our tired and true volunteer pool (nope, that's NOT a typo... those folks we keep asking over and over again ARE tired!!!) and search out new people to invite into Children's Ministry. Consider asking in the Young Adults class and inviting young adults to serve together in a class. Invite married couples to serve together so kids see what a Godly marriage is! (For safety's sake, this works as long as you can have another adult in the classroom to assist.)

Show Patience with Kids' clothing styles! Remember, what's hip today is out of style tomorrow! And above all, LOVE them as they are, regardless of looks and dress. (God will do the rest!)

That's just a few of the ideas I wrote down... What a weekend!
