The seasonal flu, swine flu, and other assorted viral illnesses are still making the rounds in our community. I pray we continue to be vigilant with hand washing, toy cleaning, and covering coughs, but we also need to remind parents to keep children will fever at home until 24 hours after the fever has broken. I'm sure everyone has that as part of their "Wellness" or "Sick Child" policy, but parents forget that 24 hour rule. A child who's had fever the day before may be fine early in the AM, but their fever returns later in the morning. By the time the teachers catch it, the class has already been exposed.
How do you graciously and tactfully help parents abide by the 24 hour no-fever policy?
