| We started LIO this past summer with Doghouse. We came up with a new verse every week for the kids to memorize, and earn a prize at the end of the month for doing all four/five. To track it, we made up dogtags on a chain for each child, one for each verse & put a sticker on the back of each week's verse as he/she recited them. Those kids with stickers on the back of all their dogtags at the end of the month earned a chance to choose a toy from the box. I think that the idea is reaching it's end, the kids are getting bored with the dogtags. Does anybody have ideas that you use for verse memorization? (There's always the "chart on the wall"; but I'd like something a little more hands-on. For "Under the Tree", I'm thinking of having a Christmas tree in the room, and allowing kids to put an ornament on the tree each time they say a verse. At the end, they can take the ornaments home, and earn a prize based on how many they say.. (so anybody who says a verse can earn something, those who say more get something bigger...) Suggestions? Ideas? In His name, for the kids.... Robin
