I saw in the new year with several thousand screaming students rocking in the new year at Winterfest. My 2009 was a whirlwind. Last year on this very day I was pulling things together to go on a trip to meet with the adoption agency and a birth mom. On New Year's Eve '09 we were called out of the blue and asked if we wanted to adopt twins. Our babies were born just 5 days later. So 2009 was crazy for me! I didn't get accomplished as much in ministry at the church as I wanted to but I did accomplish much in ministering to two tiny lives and to my wife and 5 year old son. Which is fantastic!
In 2010 I want to work on building our leadership students. I want to cast the vision before them that our youth group MUST be warm and inviting if we want to reach students. I've toyed some with student leader teams in the past but this year it will take the front burner. I'm excited to see what God will do with this in 2010.
What is the one thing that is your priority to work on in your youth ministry in 2010?

we've been using, "How to ask Great Questions" and so far its going well, my two leaders seem to be catching the vision of small group leadership.

| Hey guys, I'm new to the forum but can't wait to help share ideas. My main goal for thsi year is to raise up student leaders. In group we're trying to shift the focus in our large group by focusing in on the jr. high kids and using the sr. high kids as ministry leaders. We still have separate small groups for each age, but we want to make disciples of our students. So we thought the best way to do that is to equip our students to be ministry leaders. The hardest part about this was getting the sponsors to catch the vision, but now that they have, we're starting to work on our student leaders. We're all excited about what God is doing. Brian
