| | Is anyone else a little uneasy with the "forums" link tab on the home page? We air so many issues and problems on this board that I'm not sure we want to advertise the board to parents. I know I would be mortified if I posted a specific problem and a parent read and recognized her/himself. Anyone else share this concern? Blessing, Elise

| I had the same thought...Maybe they should consider like a seperate "parents-only" forum, but I would prefer it just be gone.

| I'll see what Group can do about that. Sorry, Cindy's at a conference, Jody's on vacation and I had a funeral for a friend this afternoon! It's been a bad week.

| thanks for sending them something Peggy. In my haste just to get posts approved, I didn't think of emailing them. I agree, I don't care for the forum link. It is one thing for my staff to check it out but entirely another for a potential new visitor to our program to do so. I actually initially thought the forum link was a link to a forum for my own church. I was surprised when it was a link to this one.

| I was surprised to see the forum on there too. I couldn't understand why...

| I, too am little uncomfortable with that link there as well. I agree that it will make it difficult to share info and discuss problems that may occur with church volunteers, etc. I agree that the link should be removed.

| Add my vote to take that link off!! Would a poll help Group make that decision?

| | How about we give them time to respond first? Sometimes I think we need to slow down and take a breath and give people a chance to actually think about and work on issues. I've contacted Stephanie, but many key players are out of the office this week. I'm not crazy about the link either, but I'll bet 98% of the parents won't even see it, let alone click on it. (because they don't pay attention to those things... I never even realized it was there!) I'm hoping they can take it off, but it's also possible that it's a template setup and they won't be able to do anything about it. I doubt very much that they've made a conscious decision to put it there, since it seems sort of out of place on the toybox. We'll all just have to wait and see. Instead of making a poll, why don't we all say a prayer for the team who keeps this board going and got the Toybox online? Those Group IT people work LONG hours and have really had an incredibly rough time this year. Things happened that were out of their control and many had to step up to the plate and fill in tasks to get things done.
