I agree, Peggy, we do need to give them a chance to respond and come up with a solution.  (In this case it should be a very simple solution on their part...just take the image and link off of the template, provided they agree that it shouldn't be there).

I think the reason all of us feel compelled to put our 2 cents in and probably why Carole suggested a poll was to let Group know just how many people would like to see this change.  When 1 or 2 people say something it may not seem important.  If 20, 50, 100 or more well then that should get someone's attention.

Thank you Peggy for sharing this with us.  I concur, we should take this up in prayer for now, until we hear back from Group.  I too, would not "share" as freely if I thought parents were going to be seeing things for the 1st time...LH in Indiana

I agree Mindy. After all, that is how most law/changes that have benefitted us all have been passed/approved. Polls are kinda like petitions. I am sure that they will consider all of our concerns in due time. They have up until now and that is why, like Kathy said, they are so popular with us.

Got an email from Tamara and the link is being discussed.  Hang in there and we'll have an answer.

Thank you for your understanding of what I was proposing when I suggested a poll.  I sure didn't intend to step on any toes, it was just a suggestion to possibly save a deluge of posts (over something that would be just as useful a tool in determining the feelings of those "concerned") with a simple poll.  Had I realized the comment would cause feelings of being attacked, I would not have even considered posting it.  I can now see why some people just read the posts and never even register or leave posts that may be helpful to others.

There is such a large number of people on the boards from all backgrounds, environments and all the other "politically correct descriptor" areas of life, that it could become a very different forum than it is originally intended to be.

The reminder to stay in prayer and have patience is certainly one that should be heeded by everyone who uses this board.

I, for one, being a newcomer, have been VERY excited and VERY impressed with Group and all the moderators and people who work diligently to make the program as effective as possible for THE CHILDREN!  I have told everyone who would listen at my church what a wonderful program Group has.

Maybe that should be a new forum.... some appreciation and thanks, kudos, if you will, to those who work so hard.  Thank you for your time.

Carole

sigh.  It seems like everything I say lately is taken wrong.

I didn't mean anyone felt attacked.  I don't think anyone does feel attacked.  I just wanted to remind people to give the folks who provide this board for all of us a chance to actually respond to a request before it became an "issue."

If nothing else, please lift me up in prayer.  I'm exhausted, discouraged, mourning the death of a friend this week, realizing that my coworker might not recover from her cancer surgery and staring down the barrel at the Easter season, which is always extra work in a pastor's house.

Um... this is a public forum anyway.  You don't have to prove you are a director or volunteer or whatever to read here - and most parents who can use the web could find this forum with or without a link.  So why would anyone post things they didn't want someone from their church to read?

Consider what a great forest is set on fire by a small spark.

Hmm didn't notice the forum link but often when posting I stop and add caution to my typing because "it's a small world" and I just never know who is going to be making the decision to read these posts.

I'm glad we have the private message option now. I find myself using that a lot instead of the general post. Especially when throwing out a tease to a specific person.

Well for multiple reasons, I'm not sure I will go public with the web toybox. It's in prayer.
