Um... this is a public forum anyway. You don't have to prove you are a director or volunteer or whatever to read here - and most parents who can use the web could find this forum with or without a link. So why would anyone post things they didn't want someone from their church to read?

Consider what a great forest is set on fire by a small spark.

You are right, but I doubt most parents would come here "on their own". However, by putting a link to here from the individual websites like that they are much more likely.

But still, we should all remember that anyone can visit here.

True, but how many parents would go looking for a VBS publishers website? Now, how many parents would click a Forums link on your VBS website?

To me its not the issue of talking about specific people in church, its more of about problems with the program and issues I am having making it work. I don't want parents to read about the struggles do thing and that, I just want them to send their kids and know that they are in good hands.

Jenn -

I realize that this is a public forum.  What I'm saying is that it's a forum for directors and volunteers to air thier problems and most parents don't know it exists.  If you put a link on the registration page then they're going to click on it and follow every problem any of us has.  Now, I'm not a parent, but if I read that a bunch of churches had security issues or safety issues or staff issues I would probably hesitate to bring my children to any AR VBS because you can't tell where people are from reading the posts.

I would NEVER use a name in any of my posts, but if I were to post a circumstance that I really needed help with (and that is why this board exists) and a parent read it and realized that it was about them, I would just die!

I just don't think it's a good idea to advertise the existence of this board.

Blessings,
Elise

Hello everyone-

Just wanted to send you an update. We are removing the forum link from the web toybox.  Though we do not actively promote the forum to parents, please keep in mind that the forum is public and anyone could be reading your posts.

Thanks,

Tamara Cramer

Has this been taken care of? I can still link to the Forum through the Avalanche Ranch Movie link. It takes you to the old forum, but from there you can click to the new one. Not that it matters to me, but just to let you know that you can still access it through the web toy box.

sorry this is off the subject Josh, but I know you may have the answer for me. I am looking for the lyrics for  Avalanche ranch songs in WORD. We can not get the cd to open in word like they say it will...

Thanks

Lea

Lea,

First off you can hit "RDD Topic" to create a new topic in the current conference...

As for your question. I believe the CD only has the lyrics in Powerpoint and unfortunately they are saved there as a picture so you can't even select, copy and paste into Word.
