| I am a very satisfied user of Living Inside Out since day 1 in September 2006. Now I hear that Group is stopping production on LIO after the summer. I have looked over the samples for Blitz, and I percieve the following differences: 1. The small groups need to be in one large room the whole time, while the main leader gives them their instruction, rather than breaking into small groups with small group leaders that could be in different rooms, as in LIO. 2. You need to purchase a Hands-on Bible for every child to make this work. 3. There is nothing in Blitz for preschool to Kindergarten. Am I correct?

| Hi Debby! Bible Blitz is a very flexible curriculum so if leaders want to split into different small-groups with separate leaders they may do so. We know of churches that actually use Blitz in more age-graded classrooms...so it is very adaptable. Bible Blitz needs at least one copy of the Hands-On Bible per small group to make it successful. But we recommend that each child has a Hands-On Bible so that they can really learn to dig in and learn the Bible for themselves. We have had churches with extremely limited budgets decide that this was a worthy endeavor so they've done a fundraising campaign so each child could have a Bible. And some parents have donated Hands-On Bible as their contribution to children's ministry. Since the Hands-On Bible is such a fun, interactive Bible for kids, it is great when a church can provide it for each child. Since reading and doing activities from the Hands-On Bible is the center of the Bible Blitz curriculum, it is great for young readers. But for even younger kids (preschoolers, etc.) it is possible to do some of the activities and lessons with the older kids doing most of the reading. It really depends on the ages, maturity level, and attention span of the kids. We know of churches that have incorporated Bible Blitz for their elementary age students and used the Toddlers & 2s and Preschool Learning Labs from Hands-On Bible Curriculum for those age levels since they age-appropriate and incorporate gizmos to keep them engaged.

We have been doing Hands on Bible Blitz as our monthly elementary school "youth group" meeting. The kids missed the stations like we've done in the past, so we divide up the session and have them travel from station to station. For example, this month I'll lead the Welcome and beginning of the Bible Blitz times, then we'll break up into 3 groups. One will stay with me for the rest of the Bible Blitz activity, one group will go with another leader to do the Let's Pray and High Fives activities, and I think the third leader will be doing one of the Extra-Time activities with the group. Then we'll rotate till all the groups have gone to all the stations (with the leaders staying in the same area). We'll get together at the end for the Let's Praise part.
I felt a little "pushed" to have all the kids get their own Hands On Bibles, too, to tell you the truth. Even though the manual clearly says you only need one per group, when I ordered the kit, the person on the phone made it sound like you need one per student, and she really tried to get to me to buy them.
We have used a different kid-friendly Bible that our host church happens to have enough of, and that has worked fine. If you have one copy of the HOB (it comes in the kit), then you can use that for reference if you need to. Also, every lessons comes with a photocopiable handout that is very much like the HOB "try this" page they refer to in the lesson.
Anyway, overall we're pretty happy with it so far.
The Bible does say that God's power is perfected in weakness... I guess that means we should be seeing God's power just explode all over this place. - Brian Brophy

| We have just ordered Bible Blitz for the summer since FW Friends is only a 3 quarter curriculum. I'm anxious to get it and look through it. Hoping that I am able to get by with the one HOB as I'm sure the church will not want to purchase one for each child in my group righ tnow. I only have 5 or 6 but hope get more by summer. I am looking forward to looking over the program and also to see what the kids think of it. I'm glad to read that others are making do with other children's Bibles and the one HOB in the kit. Gay

| I am considering using Bible Blitz as our mid-week program for K-4th grade beginning in the Fall. I am interested in getting feedback from those who have been using the material as to how well it is being received by volunteers, parents and most importantly, the children Thanks, Denise

| I just got our first quarter of Bible Blitz and I'm very excited. This is so simple and straight forward to prepare and to present. I especially like that the way the lesson is segmented with praise & prayer as a response to bible learning. My kids will love this. I'm glad to get the lyrics on screen in the DVD so I don't have to make lyric slides for each song!
