Did you know that by using all levels (there are 9: Infants, Toddlers, and Twos through Adult) of FaithWeaver®, you provide an opportunity for families to explore the same Bible Point--in age-appropriate ways--each week? That means when children, youth, and adults head home from church, they've got a common reference point--from the Bible--to spark discussions and application at home, throughout the week.

We know that families have much more time outside the church than within the church walls, and FaithWeaver helps you equip them to continue to grow in faith together.

  • Student pages have HomeConnect® activities each week for a review of the Bible story as well as activities to reinforce the in-class discovery with at-home application. Older age levels' HomeConnect pages include devotional readings for the rest of the week.
  • The reproducible Driving Home the Point weekly pages provide readings also, along with an activity to reinforce the week's Bible Point with preschoolers, elementary children, and teenagers. Plus a movie idea--if you watch movies together as a family--to add more discussion about the week's Bible Point.
  • A newer tool is the annual PrayerConnect: Prayer Cards for Parents. Each volume of 52 cards provides a brief Scripture and a prayer as a simple reminder for parents to pray for their children. It's compact size makes it handy to tuck in a wallet, on the refrigerator, or in your Bible. You can check out a sample at http://store.grouppublishing.com/OA_HTML/ibeCCtpItmDspRte.jsp?item=45966&section=10744.
  • Direct families to an online idea each week under the HomeConnect section of the Teacher Tips at www.FaithWeaver.com. You can even add this as a link from your own web site if you have one.
  • Keep kids singing by sending home a quarterly CD and/or DVD of music from the FaithWeaver family of resources.
  • The FaithWeaver Adult Bible Studies include an option "Parenting Principles" section with ideas to help parents nurture the faith of their kids.

Is FaithWeaver effective if you don't use all age levels? Absolutely. But you really help families grow when you get all ages on the same Bible Point--and help them apply it throughout the week.

Share your ideas and questions! We love hearing what you think. God bless you and your ministry.
