| I currently teach a SS class for 3 & 4 yr olds. Our Wed night program is Mission Friends and Faithweaver friends. We have had a terrible time getting volunteers to take these classes. I think Mission Friends is pretty much taken care of with a rotating schedule of teachers but Faithweaver Friends class for 2nd through 5th grade (I think) is struggling to get enough volunteers for even a rotating schedule. Here is my request...I love teaching the children's ss class and think I want to take the older children for faithweaver friend's. My thing is that if I do it, I would rather do it fulltime and use the rotating volunteers as helpers and subs. I feel like I'm being led to do this but also have had some doubts planted in my head about it being too much along with SS and have even planted my own doubts about being too old for this group of kids (I'm 55) Right now we only have 2 and sometimes 3 children in the class and I attended last night as an observer and of course took part in class. Please add me to your prayers that I what I am led by God to do and to make the right decision on this. Thank you so much!! Gay

| Thanks, Gay, for your heart for serving children! I'm praying for you -- that God would give you clear guidance and how/where to serve, as well as for other volunteers to step forward, too.
May God bless you and your ministry!

| I too shall add you in prayer. I also am 55. Too old for the age or doing too much are ways Satan dicourages God's work. I direct our children's ministries including Faithweaver Friends and I lead Kid's Own Worship. I have workers of all ages and they connect great with the kids and I have found sometimes the best workers are the ones who are "too busy" by the world's standard. Seek Him first--the rest will fall into place.

| Thank you both for your prayers on this. I have now volunteered to take the class over. It is funny how God can give you the answers you need if you just listen. I had thought about calling our church secretary and talking to her about all of this as she is doing children's choir and also trying to kind of help with the directing some of the children's ministry. I hadn't called her but decided to run by my daughter's flower shop on Sat morning and while I was there Dianne came in to get something. I asked her who was in charge of Wed night children and she said no one right now but was there a problem. I explained to her where I felt I was being led and she said "Oh Gay we have been praying for someone to do this!!". Anyway, tomorrow night is my first night as the fulltime leader for the elementary group. I'm excited to do it and yep just a little nervous too!! LOL Thanks again for the prayers. It's awesome to be able to come to the source of our curriculum and know that we have people praying for us!! Gay
