Share your ideas! It does make a difference! For example, we added the Sing-Along Songs DVD to KidsOwn Worship Kits based on your feedback. So post away with thoughts, ideas, and questions.

It would be really helpful if you would include sheet music or even basic chords for the music in the kit. The music is great, but we would like to be able to play it live with out kids. We love the cd for promoting and to play in the backgrounds, but its really hard to teach the song and there's no freedom for easy repitition.

Thanks for the feedback! We appreciate hearing how we can improve. We have delivered the music in CD format to try to make it easy to use, but we can certainly look into the possibility of chords/sheet music.

Please let us know if we can be of service in any other way. God bless you and your ministry!

We just began KOW at the beginning of this month & we are really pleased with the curriculum & love the music and DVD.  However, I was a bit confused at first since not all the songs on the CD are on the DVD & they are not in the same order, either.  I found the words to all the songs on the CD in the back of the Leader Guide, but only the songs that are not on the DVD have the motions written out.  We have 3 different cl using the same curriculum at the same time, so I have to run the DVD around all morning.  It would be helpful if all the songs were on the DVD and/or if all the songs in the back of the leader guide had the motions written out.  That way one class would still be able to sing any of the songs on the CD even if they didn't have the DVD.  The simpler, the better!  Thanks!

Thanks for sharing your feedback on how we could make the KidsOwn Worship music easier for you to use. We appreciate your ideas, and will look into that.

In the meantime, since you have purchased the kit, send me an email (dbernard@group.com) and I think I can help you out for this fall (one of our editors had motions for the songs on the DVD, but many are copyrighted and therefore I can't post them all here).

Keep sharing your thoughts and ideas. God bless you and your ministry!

I agree with the post Jamie in IN made, it would be great if all the songs were on DVD.  Our church is small and not as up-to-date with the most current technology as some churches are.  We are constantly having to switch between the DVD and CD through the whole service. If we could just play all the songs on DVD, it would help to streamline the service.  Plus, the kids really enjoy singing and doing the moves with the kids on the DVD.  They get much more involved in those songs.

Until that time comes, I have a question about the PowerPoint show that provides the lyrics.  Is there a way to play the songs and the lyrics at the same time? We can get the songs to pull up in iTunes, and paused, and then pull the lyrics up, but can't figure out a way to minimize the PP slide to get back to iTunes to start the music. We would love any thoughts on this.

Thank you!

Thanks for your questions on the PowerPoint show. I'll check in with our media team (that know MUCH more about technology than I!) and see if they can provide any ideas.

Good news! Have you ever used the ALT TAB keys on your computer to go back and forth (also known as toggling back and forth) between two documents or programs? You can do the same thing here. Eli on our Media Team provides the following info:

There is a way to do this.  Windows has a "window change" keystroke command that will let you switch from one application to another without closing an active powerpoint presentation.

Open ITunes and the PowerPoint presentation as you have described.
Hold down the ALT key.
Press and release the TAB key while continuing to hold down the ALT key.
A popup will appear displaying an icon for each open application.
The "active" or top application will have a box around it.
Every time you press the TAB key, the box (cursor) will move to the next application to the right.
When the box cursor is on the application you wish to bring to the top, simply release the TAB key.

If you only have ITunes and PowerPoint open, then you simply need to Press ALT and TAB together and then release both keys, and it will bring the other application to the front.

So, open ITunes, and make sure the songs from the CD are added.
Launch PowerPoint and run the presentation, probably with the song menu displayed.
ALT + TAB (release) will bring ITunes to the top of the presentation.
Play the song you need.
ALT + TAB (release) will bring the PowerPoint presentation back to the top.

When the song is complete, return to the menu screen, prepared to pick the next song.
ALT + TAB (release) will bring ITunes to the top of the presentation.
Play the song you need.
ALT + TAB (release) will bring the PowerPoint presentation back to the top.

etc.

Hope this helps. Please let us know if we can be of service in any other way. God bless you and your ministry!
