Has anyone tried to do the "Transformation" lesson in week three of Rescue 9-1-1?  I followed the directions exactly and 3 times in a row both balloons popped.  Did anyone have this work successfully?  I must be missing an important part of the directions.  I ended up just telling the story of Saul without doing the balloons, but I would love to know how to make this work for future lessons.

Hi! Check out the message trail under Rescue 911, where others have included these tips:

Balloons -- yes, it helped when the balloons were the same size and the outer one is just slightly more inflated so that the pin reaches the inner balloon.  Another tip -- blow them up just prior to using them. I made some on Friday for Sunday and the balloons lost some of their elasticity by then.  I made some an hour in advance and those still worked pretty well.

Hope that helps! God bless you and your ministry!

Another tip...I also used two pieces of scotch tape to form an X.  We punctured it where the cross section is.  And I found my tests with a straight pin worked better than a safety pin.  I'm not sure if straight pins are thinner or what. It may have been coincidence.
