SPAM MAIL Alert

We’ve recently discovered that a number of forum members received spam mail through our forum’s private message function. 

We make every effort to provide a safe and secure environment for forum members, and will permanently ban any person who sends out spam mail through the Group Forum.

If you ever receive a questionable message, please don’t respond or provide any personal information such as bank account numbers, a social security number, credit card numbers, your address, your date of birth, or the like.  Instead, notify one of the Forum administrators. Tell us the user name and email being used and we’ll take proper action.

Like you, we have a heart for ministry and want to respond to real human need when we see it. But there are legitimate, far more effective ways to make needs known than spamming within a forum.

A sample of the spam letter sent out is below:

Beloved one In Christ,
Greetings in name of our Lord Jesus Christ. I am Mrs. Sitabelle Williams , 42 years old widow & a new Christian convert, suffering from long time Cancer of the blood (Leukaemia According to my doctor my condition is Critical and I might not survive. Although as a Christian, I believe God and I know that I will not die, but Will live to declare the glory of God. My late husband (Dr Toure Williams) and my only son were killed during the ABIDJAN-BOUAKE Crisis some years back (take a look)
 
Our Lord Jesus Christ is my only comforter. And my hope in life but this disease has made me to understand that this life is nothing. Is only God that owns my life. I have the sum of Five Million, One Hundred Thousand US Dollars ($5.1) the fund is presently deposited with a financial company, and all the doents concerning the fund are in the custody of my lawyer. I inherited the money from my late husband who was an industrialist and international businessman.
 
I have prayed concerning this donation for God's guidance and if in your heart you genuinely and faithfully desire-to use this fund for the propagation of God's work in any form whether for charity, ministry, evangelical work or otherwise in relation to God's work, please do get in touch with me for further arrangements with my lawyer on how you will receive my Charity donation. One thing I believe is that my help comes in the name of my most high who made heaven and earth I surly know that my soul is with the almighty father in heaven. God bless you once again and as you receive, give and give God all the  Glory. For me I can no more endure the pains.
